Gathering: Feisty Feast

Feisty Feasts-226.jpg

There’s an art form to throwing a dinner party, and when that dinner party has more than ten close friends it can be even harder to create something that still feels magical and intimate. There are few people that can do this innately and instinctually. Julia Khan Anselmo is one of those people. I had the pleasure of meeting her last year for her at the beautiful Kennedy and Kennedy event space in East London for her Self Love themed evening.

Feisty Feast is a dining experience for self-identifying women that was founded in 2013 by Julia Khan Anselmo who has an inexhaustible passion for food and storytelling. With roots in Vancouver, Canada, Feisty Feast is now based in Amsterdam and is now regularly hosted in London. Each dinner has theme and features carefully selected guest speakers to share their story and engage the audience to participate creating an open dialogue.

Table is happy to say that later this week Feisty Feast is back in London for an evening celebrating Ageing with Pride. The evening begins with a cocktail followed by a vegetarian feast prepared by duo chef Anais Van Manen and wine selected by sommelier, Honey Spencer, from cafe Bastarda London. Guest speakers are a diverse trio of intergenerational guest speakers, co-founder of DevelopHER (a non-profit for it women in tech) and Digital Manager at Glastonbury, Sally J Freeman, Happiness Coach, Samantha Clarke and Author & Founder of Black Pride UK, Phyll Opoku-Gyimah who will be discussing redefining boundaries with age, taking risks and finding your own sense of purpose.share their stories while new friendships and connections are made. Feisty Feast unites an inspiring community of intelligent like-minded women.
