A Cornish Feast

A Cornish Feast

Saturday, July 6th
Food + Conversation with Table Magazine:

We are happy to announce that this July we will be celebrating food and the food community out in Cornwall at Kudvha, an off the grid site that was featured in Volume One. The afternoon will start at a leisurely pace around 2pm, giving you time to meet the Table team and explore the breath-taking grounds of Kudhva, tours will be given by staff to make sure that you get the most from your time and that you don’t miss a thing… like their secret waterfall!

After your tour of the grounds you will be met by Kurt from The Wandering Folks and flower forager. With over forty years of experience, Kurt has worked on large scale events and weddings all around the world to simple arrangements for his own dinner table. A recent expat from New York, this last year has been about discovering the vegetation that the English countryside has to offer. He will be hosting a flower arranging workshop, teaching you how to make the most of the flora and fauna around you as well as sharing his tips and tricks for creating those bespoke centrepieces that you’ve always wanted to create for your own dinner table.

Once you’ve created your very own centrepiece we will gather around for cocktail hour with one of the UK’s top bartender’s Jack Wareing who will be curating the drinks for the evening. With years of experience as a bartender at Dandelyan (voted as the world’s Top Bar), Jack now works for the Scottish Gin brand, Porter’s. A mad scientist when it comes to creating cocktails, Jack will have an exciting array of tipples for us to try showcasing some of what the locals have on offer as well as a few favourites from his own collection.

We are thrilled to share that Table will be teaming up with chef Craig Tregonning, ex-Head Chef at Ottolenghi in Islington, the food promises to be top notch. Taking influence from our surroundings, Craig will be creating a menu with foraged herbs, local fare and hints of Japanese and Mediterranean flavours. This five course supper will be paired with wine chosen by Jack.

If you would like to book one of the eco-lodges at Kudhva for the event please click here to book separately.
